There’s been a lot happening recently in the AI world – Google’s IO 2024 event was mostly about AI, OpenAI introduced their latest ChatGPT and Apple are said to be close to announcing deal with OpenAI to add ChatGPT to iOS 18.
Google’s IO 2024 event included announcements for a faster Gemini, Project Astra – an AI assistant, Veo – video generation, Gems – a custom chatbot creator, plus that Google Search will be getting an AI overhaul, with AI Overviews.
OpenAI introduced their latest ChatGPT iteration – GPT-4o – which “is much faster” and improves “capabilities across text, vision, and audio” and was demoed by the OpenAI CTO.
Bloomberg reported that Apple is finalising a deal with OpenAI to add ChatGPT to iOS 18, while it’s also been rumoured that Apple are in talks with Google to use Gemini.
