It took me only 20 minutes to setup a ChromeOS virtual in VirtualBox the other day, just so I could see what it looked it like and how it worked.
Maybe you also want to check out ChromeOS or need a virtual for a particular task – e.g. testing a website or web app works on ChromeOS.
To set it up, you’ll need:
- VirtualBox on your system where you want to install the ChromeOS virtual
- About 10 Gb of free disk space for the virtual
- Then follow these simple instructions https://www.r15cookie.com/2015/11/11/chromeready-virtualbox/
- Once installed and setup, it’s then easy to set it up with your Google account, as I did
This version of ChromeOS is from the Neverware CloudReady project
